MY JOURNEY
PORTUGAL · EARLY YEARS
I grew up playing football in Portugal, developing through regional clubs and learning the game in a competitive environment from an early age.
Those years helped shape me technically and tactically, while pushing me to keep looking for opportunities at a higher level.
2022 — 2023 · SETÚBAL, PORTUGAL
That progression eventually led me to the historic Vitória Futebol Clube in Setúbal.
Being part of a club with that history and football culture gave me valuable experience and exposed me to a more demanding environment. It became an important step in my development both as a player and as a person.
2023 · UNITED STATES
Around that time, the possibility of moving to the United States emerged — an opportunity to continue playing football at a high level while earning a university degree with significant scholarship support.
It meant leaving Portugal and starting again in a completely different football and academic system, but I saw it as an opportunity worth taking.
2023 — 2025 · ST. CHARLES COMMUNITY COLLEGE
My two years at St. Charles Community College confirmed that the move to the United States had been the right decision.
I established myself within the team, became a captain during my sophomore year and earned All-Region recognition.
By the end of my time there, I had attracted interest from several top NAIA programs, strong NCAA Division II programs, and had conversations with NCAA Division I schools as well.
2025 · MARIAN UNIVERSITY
Marian University ultimately presented an opportunity that was difficult to turn down, with the expectation that I would have an important role within the team.
The season, however, did not develop the way I had expected. The role and situation I arrived to pursue did not fully materialize, making it a challenging period of my college career.
Instead of allowing that season to define the rest of my experience in the United States, I decided to look for the right next step.
2026 — PRESENT · NIAGARA UNIVERSITY
That next opportunity came quickly when Niagara University offered me the chance to transfer during the spring and join an NCAA Division I program.
The transfer gave me a fresh environment and the opportunity to finish my U.S. college career competing at the Division I level.
I am now enjoying my final college season in the United States, happy with the decision to transfer and focused on making the most of the last chapter of a journey that began years earlier in Portugal.
